IBRAHIM PASHA PALACE (TURKISH AND ISLAMIC ARTS MUSEUM)

Ibrahim Pasha Palace located in Sultanahmet Square in Istanbul, is named after Ibrahim Pasha from Parga who was the bridegroom and second Grand Vizier of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. The building had been formerly known as “Horse Square Palace” and began to be called as Ibrahim Pasha Palace after Ibrahim Pasha married to Sultan Suleiman’s sister. Today the palace serves as the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum.
