COMMUNICATION CENTER FOR FOREIGNERS: CALL 157 Established in 2015, by the Directorate General of Migration Management, in order to give continuous, efficient and fast communication services to foreigners in Turkey, the Communication Center for Foreigners (YIMER CALL 157) answers all the questions and issues of foreigners 24/7, in six languages: Turkish, Arabic, English, Russian, German and Persian.

YIMER is primarily an emergency and denunciation line for the victims of human trafficking, but it also serves foreigners with issues like visa, residence permit, international protection or temporary protection.

Other than giving information for foreigners, the representatives at YIMER also take complaints about all the issues, for which the Directorate General of Migration Management is responsible, they register them, redirect the issues to the relevant departments in the institution, and after following up the results, they finally provide feedback to the complainant.

Moreover, in coordination with police forces, YIMER helps foreigners who are in state of emergency. It also gives translation services for foreigners demanding to get in touch with police forces. Last year, numerous operations were held, upon the emergency calls that are redirected to 158 Coast Guard, 155 Police, 156 Gendarmerie and 112 Emergency.
