QUICK AND EASY ACCESS TO ISTANBUL’S ENTERPRENUAL CENTERS With a larger economy than the world's 130 countries, Istanbul hosts 75 thousand companies operating in international trade. Being located within a 4-hour flight to a total of 24 trillion-dollar market, including cities such as London, Moscow and Mumbai, places Istanbul in the center of the world investment map.

Initiated in 2017 by Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA), in partnership with the Governorship of Istanbul, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Istanbul Chamber of Industry, Invest in Istanbul project aims to promote Istanbul’s investment opportunities and assist international investors not only throughout all bureaucratic steps necessary for starting up their businesses in Istanbul but in completing the procedures and operations under a single roof.

Invest in Istanbul brings together the wide range of businesses to share best practice, collaborate and innovate. Besides, the organization is responsible for informing and guiding investors about issues such as setting up businesses, taking necessary measures to overcome obstacles that investors encounter in the city, investment incentives in the region, business opportunities and networking.

On demand from international entrepreneurs and investors who visited Invest in Istanbul office, ISTKA brought together the entrepreneurial centers that host innovative and creative entrepreneurs, under a section entitled "Startup City", on the web site of the project.

The section, which can be accessed from http://invest.istanbul/startup-city/ page, allows international entrepreneurs and investors to get information quickly and easily about the entrepreneurial centers in the city. In Startup City, where 20 entrepreneurial centers are currently listed; techno-cities operating under Turkey's leading universities –such as Bogazici University, Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul University, and Sabancı University– could be found, as well as the entrepreneurial centers that host initiatives and investments in areas such as finance and information technologies, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and renewable energy.

Providing access to detailed information about the sectors and areas of activity that the entrepreneurship centers focus on, Startup City is an indispensable resource for anyone who wants to invest in Istanbul.
