Held for the first time, hundred promising students from twenty-two schools of six districts of İstanbul attended the camp that started on August 15.

New approaches in education were adopted for the project that was realized in order to provide opportunity equality for the gifted students chosen from economically disadvantaged families, while allowing them to discover and enhance their interests and talents.

An exclusive curriculum was prepared for the camp, which is the first of its kind that is directly carried out by the Governorship of İstanbul. Expert instructors in the areas of English, Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Counseling from various schools were selected for the project.

Science Inspired by Nature, Energy, Functioning of the Brain, Magnetism, Chemical Reactions, Hologram, Nano-Technology, Robotics, Virtual Reality and Future Technologies were among the courses in the curriculum that breaks the boundaries of traditional educational methods.

Another pillar of the project was mathematics. Going beyond the conventional math education, which most of the time alienates students from math with the overload of formulas, the program centered around Mind Games and Problem Solving Ability. Furthermore, courses like Cryptology, Mathematical Modelling, Non-Euclidian Geometries, Fractals, History of Numbers and Pythagoras Theorem were also included in the program in order to provide the students to form an organic relationship with math.

The curriculum, at the core of which were science and math, was supported by Foreign Language and Self-help Seminars.

Being the result of long-running efforts continuing since October 2015, it is intended that the project becomes sustainable, expands all over İstanbul and includes more students every year.
